Usually it’s the RCD that trips, which means you either have a faulty appliance plugged in, or your wiring has an unstable fault. See the below FAQ for some easy steps you can do to find the source of the issue.
-
An RCD is the fuse that sits inside or next to your fusebox, which typically has a yellow test button (your RCD should be labelled).
If your RCD is tripping, follow these steps:
Turn OFF all of your fuses (switches) and your RCD in your fusebox.
Turn your RCD back on.
Turn each fuse on individually until one of them trips the RCD out.
This will show you which fuse the fault is on. Now you can turn the rest of your fuses back on (apart from the faulty one).
If it’s the socket fuse, unplug all appliances & turn the fuse back on. If the issue persists, it’s likely an issue with your wiring & you should call us.
-
No, we go as far as the mains outlets, which covers the fixed wiring & any sockets, switches etc.
Anything plugged into the sockets is typically a manufacturer’s responsibility.
If we open the parts it’s likely to void their warranties & devalue your items.
